Does anyone ever put an egg in their rice pudding? What is the recipie please

My crock-pot recipe I use (which I got off here), adds an egg 1/2 hr before the end of cooking and its yum.

I got a rice pudding recipe thats asks for 2 tbspn vanila essense but if I want to use vanila pods how many do I need to use?
