I have a new mincer/grinder and want to make my own sausages. Anybody know where I can purchase sausage skins (and no rude answers from you cheeky traders). Thank you.

you can try Trademe as a customer of mine who has just bought a grinder mincer and sausage stuffer for her Kitchenaid said that she had seen them on here.
Thanks to you all. Purchase made and looking forward to some really good sausages which I have not had since I left the UK in 2001.

Geez I feel you there! Came back from the UK on NYs eve after being there for 4 years and forgot how crap our sausages are here! They mince the crap out of them and add all sorts of stuff - UK sausages are so chunky and yummy! Even the expensive ones from NOSH that I got didnt quite cut it. We are thinking about getting a mincer too. Let us know how they turn out! :)

I miss Lincolnshire Sausages! if you ever get to Wellington you must try the Island Bay butchery- they do fantastic sausages and they are also sold at La Bella italia in Petone.

try the butcher shop in Ellerslie. They make their own, and are quite tasty. My son is the sausage maker there

I buy my sausage casings from my local butcher. He just charges me the same prices as his sossies ($10/kg)! 10 m of casings cost me about $2 - they are in fluid.
I bought my grinder from TM a while ago and it is essentially pretty good - I wish I had different size plates though. I'll attach some pictures of my last batch if I can figure out how.

Ha! Yup - now I have to work on the hubby to gat a new kitchen to put them in... Hey, have a look at the rolling pin thread again - I have put a cool poem on there - it would be a perfect marketing ploy for your shop! especially if you run bridal registers.

I hate lumpy sausages, I like my fillings finely minced.
