Looking for a coffee slice recipe - I'll make your recipe thanks pam.delilah - haven't got the essence so will mix some coffee with water and try that, and will use a lemon icing, I think the tang will go well with coffee.

• Coffee And Walnut Slice
300g vanilla wine biscuits, crumbled 1/2C sweetened condensed milk 50g butter, melted 1/2C walnuts, coarsely chopped 2 shots espresso coffee or 3t instant coffee dissolved in 2&1/2T hot water 1/2C choc chips Coffee Icing 2C icing sugar 1t butter, softened 1 shot espresso coffee, or 1&1/2t instant coffee dissolved in 4t hot water extra hot water extra chopped walnuts and choc chips Line a 20x24cm slice pan with baking paper To make the base, combine biscuit crumbs, condensed milk, butter, walnuts and coffee in a lg bowl and mix together well Add choc chips then press mixture into pan Refrigerate base for 1hr To make icing, combine icing sugar, butter, and coffee and mix together well. Add sufficient waterto make mix a spreadable consistency Spread icing over base and sprinkle over extra choc chips and walnuts, gently pressing them into the icing. Chill until set Makes about 20 slices
Coffee Fudge Slice
125g butter 1 x 400g can sweetened condensed milk 1 tablespoon sweetened coffee essence 1 packet vanilla wine biscuits, crushed 1/2 cup coconut 1/2 cup sultanas 1/2 cup dark brown sugar 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Method: Preheat oven to 180 degrees C. Line a 30 x 20 cm sponge roll tin with non stick baking paper. In large bowl, melt butter and condensed milk together, stir until well blended. Add coffee essence and stir well. Add other ingredients and mix to combine. Press into the prepared cake tin. Bake for 20 mins. Cool in the tin and ice with coffee icing when cold.
Coffee Icing: Mix all ingredients together adding a little boiling water to make a smooth icing. Spread over cooled slice and cut when set.
Makes 30 - 36 pieces.

100 g butter 1 teaspoon vanilla essence 2 tablespoons coffee essence (Bushells sweetened coffee & chicory essence) 1 tablespoon Chelsea Golden Syrup 1 1/2 cups Chelsea Dark Cane Sugar 2 eggs 1 cup flour 1 teaspoon baking powder 1 cup chopped walnuts
For the icing: 50 g butter, melted 1 tablespoon Bushells sweetened coffee and chicory essence 1 1/2 cups Chelsea Icing Sugar 1 – 2 tablespoons milk Method
Preheat oven to 180°C. Grease and paper line a sponge roll or slice tin approx 20 x 30 cm.
Beat butter, vanilla essence, coffee essence, golden syrup and dark cane sugar. Add eggs then mix in flour, baking powder and chopped walnuts. Spread in the prepared tin and bake 35 minutes. Cool in the tin. Ice when cool.
For the icing Mix butter, coffee essence and icing sugar together with enough milk to produce a creamy spreadable icing. If desired top with extra chopped walnuts.
Place coffee, butter and cond milk in pan and just bring to boil. Add crushed biscuits, vanilla, coconut and walnuts. Mix well and place in slice tin to set. Ice with coffee icing
