Hi I am looking for a nice coleslaw dressing, I love the taste of the kfc dressing can anyone help.

I just use lite Greek yoghurt or lite sour cream and crushed garlic. Goes well on any coleslaw, in pita bread etc, wraps.

This is the recipe I have for a KFC coleslaw copycat - it is very similar.

DRESSING:
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup buttermilk
2 1/2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 1/2 tablespoons white vinegar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper

SLAW:

1 head of cabbage - chopped or processed finely
1 medium carrot grated/chopped/processed
2 tablespoons minced onion (I just chop it very very fine)

Instructions

Chop cabbage into chunks and run through your food processor, or chop fine.
Combine all of the dressing ingredients in a large bowl, whisk well.
Combine cabbage, carrots, and onion and toss well. Pour dressing over the slaw and turn to coat well.
Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving to allow the cabbage to soak up the marinade. Overnight is best.

Yes, I agree. I always add some mint sauce to my mayo for coleslaw.

Yum! And apple cider vinegar without anything added - very refreshing.

I used the good old condensed milk dressing in my last coleslaw and thought it tasted like kfc coleslaw (although haven't had kfc for many years so not sure how good my memory is lol).

Tahini dressing - it is addictive

My vegan 'mayo' - mash together 1-2 avocados, garlic powder, dash of olive oil, lemon juice, salt and pepper, pinch of cayenne. mix into slaw. My favourite.

At the mo, I like
2 T olive oil
2 T soy sauce
2 T apple cider vinegar
2 T caster sugar
Combine all in a jar, and shake well

use tarragon vinegar in the dressing instead of apple cider that's the difference

Good old condensed milk dressing is my favourite on coleslaw (1 tin condensed milk, 3/4 cup cider vinegar, 1tsp mustard powder). Then again, it's pretty much my favourite dressing on everything. and because it solidifies and requires a touch of a water to loosen it each time you use some it lasts for ages.
