Lilyfield - Yoghurt making

Lillyfield, I made a batch of yoghurt using your recipe of milk powder and greek yoghurt powder.It hasn't set so thick and has a lot of whey around it, any ideas where I went wrong pls!.I forgot to ask if you also make yours using a Easiyo maker as this is the method I used, adding boiling water to the maker as usual.Maybe that is where I went wrong. I have just checked it and it's set a little thicker as it has chilled in the fridge.

Am sure Lilyfield will reply soon.I use Easiyo maker & leave overnight, then refrigerate until required & it is usually nice & thick.

I use my electric joghurt maker overnight. Find the temperature more constant. If you use the easy yo maker i would add more boiling water to it about half way through,
A bit of whey does no harm, i usuallyv pour it off( drink it) or stir it in
Yes, it thickens up in the fridge

Thanks Lilyfield & Lindy for your replies, much appreciated.The whey doesn't bother me (I will just mix it into the smoothies) but thought maybe I had slipped up somewhere.Thanks for your help.
