Oyster is the same name as crosscut in NZ, I know because I had a hell of time trying to get them to sell me crosscut because they didn't know what it was.It has different names in different States in Oz, but that's what it is anyway. My friendly local butcher told me to just buy y-bone steaks and he cuts all the meat off the bone for me because it's cheaper to buy y-bone per kg than it is to buy oyster by the kg, even if it's the same thing.

When I lived in Australia I used to buy this cut of meat regularly but have never seen it since i have lived here.
