2 cloves garlic1 onion 500g boneless chicken pieces1 carrot 1 c mushrooms1 Tbsp olive oil 175g pearl barley1 dsp dried tarragon 1 c chicken stock
Peel & crush garlic. Peel & slice onion. Peel & grate carrot. Wash & slice mushrooms. Heat oil in a large flame proof oven dish, add onion, garlic & chicken pieces, stir fry for 3-4 mins until onion is clear. Add carrot, mushrooms, barley, tarragon & stock, stirring to combine. Cover & bake in the oven at 180 c for 1 hr until barley is tender. serves 4.

Not chicken and lentil, but have a lovely lentil salad recipe: 1 tin of lentils (drained) ! apple (cored) skin on, diced 2 spring onions 1 garlic clove (mashed up) 2 cups of any salad vegetables (eg cucumber, tomato, capsicum) diced Mix all together and toss a couple of table spoons of aioli in.
