Does wholemeal flour have a use by date?

ive had it in my pantry for ages and fear there may be weavels in it ,,, i bought without knowing what to bake with it!

does it have a use by on the packet!
If it's clumping together, has signs of weevils, or is smelling musky/mouldy I'd bin it.

I find it goes rancid in the pantry.

I keep mine in the fridge.

and for future referance, bake what you normally bake, but with 50/50 wholemeal and white flour. See how you go that way with your favourite recipes. I particularly like ginger crunch with it 50/50 as it makes it even crunchier.

it looks and smells good . im not allowed white flour or sugar. no processed food basically and id like to bake something!i really need help thank you

ah I see. Not quite as simple as it first appeared. Perhaps start a fresh thread asking for baking recipes using unrefined ingredients. Do you allow yourself raw sugar! or only such substitutes as honey! You may want to investigate Vegan baking recipes.
