Last night I found this handwritten recipe in one of my slow cooker recipe books and I've done it for tonight. Really nice if you like these sort of flavours. 1/2 cup chicken broth or stock 1/3 cup soy sauce 1/3 cup olive oil (I think this is too much) 1/4 cup honey 1 tsp wooster sauce 2 tsp balsamic vinegar 2 tsp lemon juice 1 tsp sesame oil 2 Tbs chopped garlic 1 star anise (optional) Mix everything (except chicken) together in a bowl/jug. Put whole chicken into slow cooker and pour over the above ingredients. HIGH for 4 hours LOW for 8 hours Serve with noodles or rice and some steamed veges.

Yes it was delish. I served with rice noodles and stir fry beetroot leaves and stalks from the garden that needed using. I just shredded the meat with two forks and poured some of the cooking liquor over.
