There goes the foxy lady.

lodgelocum, Sep 20, 5:59am
Mindy is very gracious, thought Audra's dish was very simple, bring on the final! gee I wonder who wins! lol

duckmoon, Sep 20, 6:06am
Mindy got sent home because her fish wasn't cooked
But Audras fish wasn't cooked at all (the irony)

My pick is for andy

mackenzie2, Sep 20, 6:11am
MMMMmm I think Andy also, he has just got better and better, where as the girls were always good. I am going to have to watch it on demand, as am alway catering, so no one say who wins till I watch it! ♥

maggie197, Sep 20, 6:19am
Wow what a night it will be on Saturday - looking forward to it.

toffeey, Sep 20, 6:46am
Ooooooooh nooo, I had Mindy picked right from the start. I don't understand how Audra didn't go based on what the others presented.

bedazzledjewels, Sep 20, 6:49am
What you serve up has to be edible and Mindy's fish was raw, so bye bye Mindy. Mind you, Audra is going to have to left her game a lot.

mizp, Sep 20, 12:06pm
What was Audra thinking! After all the lovely dishes she has cooked, she does 3 bits of raw fish and 3 vinaigrettes! Served in kitchen bowls! For the penultimate show before the final. WOW! How to lose big time. What a bloody shame. It's just as well (for her) that Mindy's fish wasn't cooked or she would have been off home instead.

carlosjackal, Sep 20, 8:42pm
After Mindy was voted off she commented that she knew - she wasn't surprised.just heartily disappointed.she knew needed to have her fish in the oven much earlier. The caramelisation was great but it just needed more time to cook through. Agree with mizp re. Audra! - 90 minutes to serve a trio of raw fish with a trio of vinaigrettes! What WAS she thinking!! I think the judges were more than a bit disappointed with her, and justifiably too.

So looking forward to Saturday's Grand Finale - perfect excuse for a having night in!

ibcreative, Sep 20, 8:51pm
Yes, Audra certainly had a lucky escape. Can't wait until Saturday.

mwood, Sep 20, 10:29pm
All 3 girls displayed classic "loser" mentality - looks like the yobbo is being groomed to win.

carlosjackal, Sep 20, 11:25pm
"groomed to win" ! I don't think so.

esther-anne, Sep 20, 11:58pm
What yobbo! You mean that lovely young fellow who has demonstrated good manners and courtesy all the way through. And, unlike some of the women, understands those priceless attributes-modesty and humility!

He deserves a win - if he survives lol!

davidt4, Sep 21, 12:28am
And he's so handsome.

mizp, Sep 21, 12:31am
"Yobbo"! Andy is lovely! and he loves his mum too LOL. He's 50 chef hats better than the girls with his cooking and his presentation, and not at all big headed - he seems like a lovely bloke, there's no 'side' to him at all, WYSIWYG.
If you mean he could do with a shave and his speech is a bit on the rough side, men with very dark hair often have a 5 o'clock shadow by 11am -and not everyone speaks with a plummy BBC voice!

mizp, Sep 21, 12:40am
I was thinking about Mindy, even though she didn't leave enough time for the fish to cook, and they were massive pieces, she said that there wasn't enough heat in the oven. That's not the first time they have had an oven malfunction (Alice had the same problem in Italy) but I wonder why she didn't think to slice the fish and finish it in the frying pan! It would have been preferable to serving it up raw, it would have rescued the dish and shown initiative. From what I've seen she is good at thinking on her feet and I'm surprised she didn't try and rescue the dish that way.

esther-anne, Sep 21, 4:49am
So were the judges-astonished that she didn't get the fish cooked in some other manner.

Always more than one way to skin a cat as the saying goes, though perhaps not appropriate for a recipe thread!

strebor1, Sep 21, 5:00am
Why are they showing Mindy in the promos for the finals on Saturday night!

ibcreative, Sep 21, 6:12am
I think she realised her fish wasn't cooked with only a couple of minutes to go, so no time to cut it in to pieces I don't think.

bedazzledjewels, Sep 21, 6:20am
That new show is fun and they all looked like they were enjoying being back together and cooking. Interesting to see what they've done since their original masterchef competitions.

strebor1, Sep 21, 6:47am
Yes I enjoyed watching it, it is going to be fun I think.
