Ahhh.thanks 245sam! I was hoping you or someone else might post the recipe ;D

bedazzledjewels, Aug 23, 12:11am
Oh, this is my sort of challenge - everything - and chocolate!

jude164, Aug 23, 3:13am
Masterclass and masterchef suck ;), I have HAD to buy the fry pan that can go into the oven and the grill plated one was a must, today I HAD to buy the pressure cooker, all nightmeres of my mothers one exploding had to be put aside. tonight I made the lamb racks and because I couldn't get lamb neck fillets I substituted with neck chops, 30 mins and they were falling off the bone, the gravy (bet there is a fancy name for that) was delicious. this program has definately changed my cooking, instead of each day dreading the same old it is now way more fun and the kids are wanting to help Plate up lol, .

Such a challenging challenge tonight and thrilled that Kylee won it! Just brilliant. In tomorrows challenge, Iwonder if Andrew will scape through A.gain!

bedazzledjewels, Aug 23, 11:03pm
Good about Kylie as I missed the finish. Agree that it must be Andrew's time to go.

bedazzledjewels, Aug 24, 12:09am
Our my goodness, that dessert creation looks incredible!

carlosjackal, Aug 24, 5:06am
Not sad to see Andrew go tonight.thrilled that Beau (sp!) "nailed it".and relieved that Amina got through - it seems she has been having a run of bad luck lately and hope things pick up for her. That dessert tonight was art-on-a-plate - personally, I think they were asking just a bit too much from these amateur chefs.but on the other hand, I guess it was a "challenge" and it is a cooking competition .and one with a lot at stake.

strebor1, Aug 24, 3:04pm
It was art alright. When they started getting into it though, I could see that because it was so "arty" it looked more difficult than it actually was, taking one step at a time. I think if they think they are up to the standard of Australia's best 13 cooks, they should be able to do that sort of thing. Actually they probably aren't Australia's 13 best cooks, just in the right place at the right time. I am sure there are far better cooks out there. There certainly are in New Zealand.

bedazzledjewels, Aug 24, 7:16pm
The new series of UK Masterchefs Professionals at 1pm today.

carlosjackal, Aug 24, 8:18pm
I agree with you strebor1 - there a lot more amateur cooks out there that are probably far better that the ones we see on Masterchef each season, but for one reason or another they didn't apply to compete in Masterchef. What we are seeing though, is cooking at a very high level that's for sure, and the the contestants have and are doing extremely well, and often under intense pressure.

strebor1, Aug 24, 10:19pm
Yes I agree, it is all very well criticising Andrew or someone else, in the comfort of our lounges, and I imagine the pressure that they face is one very good reason why a lot of better cooks don't apply.

wow those judges dribble on.big greedy pigs

carlosjackal, Aug 27, 1:16am
Yay! So glad Kylee won the Immunity Challenge!I agree with you rainrain1 re. the judges dribble - and the one that irks me sometimes is Gary; I can't quite put my finger on it.it's almost as though he feels a little bit superior to George and Matt sometimes! This evening he was quite critical with the main courses that came out saying that the fish didn't look as good on the plate and suggested that it should have been presented on a different plate and I noticed the look on Matt Preston's face after Gary made the comment!

bedazzledjewels, Aug 27, 1:18am
I'm pleased to see Kylie win but I think it might have been ever so slightly rigged - just a feeling! They want to see Kylie in the top 10.

strebor1, Aug 27, 4:20am
It is sort of becoming Gary's show, just like the NZ one seems like Simon's show. I guess some judges are just more proactive that their fellow judges.

rthomo1, Aug 27, 7:57am
I hope I'm not wrong but how come all but Amina's immunity challenge have been team ones.seems shes the only one who has had to face a professional chef on her own. At least in the team challenge even if your own dish isn't good enough (as happened with Mindy on both her challenges) your team mate(s) can carry you through.
If only an individual can win immunity then it should be an individual challenge.

I felt so sorry for Debra tonight, she has no 'buddies' in the house, and is always picked last for a challenge. How was she supposed to do her dessert if she was setting up the pop-up restaurant, others probably helped for Amina's dish.

frances1266, Aug 28, 2:03am
I felt for Debra tonight also. There seems to be a lot of mean spiritedness towards her.I wonder if it is part of the 'plan'.I think she is a fine cook and keeps from losing her temper when she is provoked.Dont think I could help blowing my stack at times.Dont understand why she is always picked last for a challenge.I love Masterchef but some aspects of it drive me nuts.

lodgelocum, Aug 28, 2:16am
I think perhaps also because she is also older than the others, they don't relate to her, but I would like her as my friend! haha (probably cause I am older too).I thought Audra did a dreadful job as captain and none of them could take on any responsibility regarding to plating up, I was screaming at the TV and saying 'for gods sake someone just plate it'.Will be interesting tomorrow night to see what two are going home.

duckmoon, Aug 28, 2:40am
Audra made an awful mistake tonight. She tried to do two jobs: captain of the team, and front of house. Becauseshe was doing two jobs, she did neither well.

I am still trying to work out if deb took too long to set up the restaurant, again if some one had been given the job of FoH, then it would have been their job to set it up.

miss eleven did remind me that when deb was captain of the yum cha challenge, mindy lead the kitchen and then deb said "I didn't get support".

I have always liked deb, but have some questions

strebor1, Aug 28, 4:31am
Deb is a very good cook and I really feel sorry for her, as she doesn't get the same attention as the younger ones. She admitted tonight that she is going through the menopause, so it probably isn't the best time for her to be in this competition. I feel sorry for her always being the last to be picked too, and after tonight if she stays, she will probably be last to be picked again!

carlosjackal, Aug 28, 4:49am
As for Deb, well.not unlike the others, she is a very cook cook with a lot of potential but I don't think she is much of a team player. And in saying that when she and Amina went "shopping" for the restaurant "fitout" each of the items Amina picked to have as part of the pop-up restaurant decor, Deb said "NO" to - NO discussion with Amina.just a outright "NO". She is not really a team player and putting her frustration re. her dessert down to being menopausal IMO was a bit of a cop out. Maybe I'm being a bit harsh but it's not the first time her attitude has shown and have questioned in my own mind her popularity with the other contestants. I don't believe it's an age thing or that it's wholly a menopausal issue.

iman007, Aug 28, 3:50pm
all the contestants are suckholes, i cant watch it anymore with all the oooooh, and aaaaaaah and woooooow, pathetic!

bedazzledjewels, Aug 28, 5:29pm
I don't think her age is counting against her popularity either as Andrew was very popular with the others. The others should have supported her by helping more with the dessert while she was sorting out the decor. That said, she seemed to be taking her time there too. Kylie was a fantastic leader and really showed up Audra's weaknesses there.

carlosjackal, Aug 28, 5:42pm
Audra's voice is really starting to irritate me!
