In Celebrity Masterchef, Phil the ex England rugby captain is cooking well. Hope he keeps wowing them.

The $20K was more than all the other donations put together, so really they only needed to ask one person to vote.Usually the best dish is the one which receives the most votes.

I love that the donation was made but it was the context in which it was made. The $20K could have been placed on a dish which no-one else donated to.Normally people have had one vote and all had equal power.

Just seen your second post about who gave the money - I thought it was a women representing 'women in business' or something like that, not a chef.

I still love the show though.

He is really making some amazing stuff.

Yes, you're right.

davidt4, Jul 21, 12:17am
I'm way behind watching this and have just seen his first appearance - he's great.I do hope that annoying social historian woman goes home.

bedazzledjewels, Jul 21, 12:20am
I won't spoil it for you.

davidt4, Jul 21, 11:42pm
Ireally liked the look of Ruth's Almost Mrs Cromwell's Pudding. On trying to find a recipe for it unavoidably ran across the name of the ultimate winner.Damn.

bedazzledjewels, Jul 21, 11:43pm
Was that the fig based pudding!

davidt4, Jul 21, 11:45pm
No, it was apples and curd cheese - looked like stewed apples with a creamy topping and John raved about it.

I'm not so sure Andrew has what it takes to go a lot further in this competiton let alone win it. Tomorrow night will be interesting.the elimination challenge.

spot20, Jul 30, 1:40am
I agree. its definitely time for goodbye Andrew, he just does not have the skills! Would be such a shame to Audra or Davinder ! to go home

duckmoon, Jul 30, 1:54am
I am loving the food that mindy, kylie and amina are cooking.

mzm, Jul 30, 3:37am
Where was Debra/Deb tonight!

spot20, Jul 30, 6:08pm
Oh yes has she gone!

245sam, Jul 30, 7:01pm
No, Deb has definitely not "gone"/been eliminated. The episode that was screened last evening was Episode 31 and from the Masterchef website Episode Guide i see that Deb is mentioned as a participant in Episode 35.:-))

Edited to add.By the way if you who aren't wanting to know yet who the winner is DON'T go to http://www.masterchef.com.au/home.htm because the first thing you'll see right there before you is the winner - name and photo.
:-))

Just did a search, not sure where she was last night, but she will be back, as she makes it further, and I'm not looking into it further than that as I don't want to find out who won.

maggie197, Jul 30, 7:20pm
Someone over in the General thread announced who the winner was without putting 'spoiler' in the title and thought it was a huge joke. It's really spoiled it for me now in the aspect of the competition side of the programme, but it's still a good watch regardless.

unknowndisorder, Jul 30, 7:56pm
I make a point of watching masterchef and then opening any threads in here, hoping no one has announced any winners. I like the discussions about the latest person sent home. Must admit I was glad they didn't send either of the guys home last week, as they both deserved to stay after the meals, especially compared to what the others had had to do to remain.

bedazzledjewels, Jul 30, 7:57pm
Has anyone found Andy's beef cheeks recipe from last week!

245sam, Jul 30, 8:58pm
No, I haven't found (and can't find) that recipe anywhere on the Internet and I strongly advise against searching (even on Google) unless you're ok about finding out who the winner is - the identity of the winner can pop up where you may not even have guessed that it would be,e.g.Wikpedia.:-))

nfh1, Jul 30, 9:06pm
Me too, I sort of peep at the thread to make sure no spoilers! As though that is going to stop me seeing any.

carlosjackal, Jul 31, 1:30am
Whilst I do like Andrew, I was so shocked to see that Davinder lost the elimination challenge - considering the terrine was the "star" of the dish, I think based on that alone, Andrew should have gone. Also, the fact that he though he could short circuit it by doing the terrine the way he did, tells me he really doesn't have the right attitude. It seems that whilst the competitors are in the midst of a challenge some can (and do) lose sight of what's up for grabs in winning this Masterdhef Australia competition.

unknowndisorder, Jul 31, 1:53am
I rely on no one coming in here and spoiling it for the rest of us.
In regards e beef cheeks, I found some threads asking about them, and complaining about no recipe on the website. Didn't find any spoiler, so that was good. :)
