2.3 kg prok roast

how long should i leave a 2.3 kg prok roast in the fridge to thaw!TIA

I was always told 5 hours per pound.Converting that into kilos would be about 5 hours per 500 grams- so for a 2.3 kilo roast you would be looking at about 24 hours.

Edited to say if you are putting it in the fridge put it on the lowest shelf, and if you don't have time for the fridge then you can use slow running water.Make sure the water can't touch the meat and sit it in a colander or something so that the water is running away and not pooling around the meat.

ok so i took it out thurz night,it has been sitiing in the bottom of the fridge,and its still half frozen,what should i do if i want toput it on about 2pm!

3 hours at 160c on fanbake.24 hours is absurd, it has already died ,dont need to kill it again.A little bit pink is the way it should be for tasty juicy meat.
