if you mix icing sugar with mashed potato it makes a candy. it takes a lot of sugar. then it could be made into eggs and chocolate dipped

I subscribe to a knitting Forum and this recipe was on it this morning.
Mashed Potato Easter Eggs 1/4lb butter(that would be 125gms) 2 Tblsps powdered sugar(that would be icing sugar) 1/2 cup mashed potato 1tsp vanilla Mix all ingredients and shape. Chill for 1 hour.Dip into melted chocolate chips. I might give it a go as it's not a lot of ingredients if it all goes wrong.

hmmm.sounds interesting-ish! The only thing I figure is that for only one egg that's 21 tsps fat, and you're also adding carbs by using the potato.
Personally I'd rather make my own marshmallow eggs. Let me know if you want a simple way recipe.

I think they are meant to be shaped into small eggs!
