It won't hurt you. It's possible some texture may be different, but I'd expect it to be fine, and I'd be tempted to keep it partly frozen.

Can You Freeze Trifle? The Delicious Dessert Dilemma!
Trifle is one of those desserts that just screams "eat me now!" Layers of sponge cake, custard, fruit, and whipped cream come together in a sweet and decadent treat that's hard to resist. But what happens when you've made too much trifle, or you want to save some for later? Can you freeze it? Let's take a look!
What happens if you freeze trifle?
Well, it's not the end of the world, but the results might not be what you're hoping for. Freezing can cause the texture of the sponge cake to become rubbery and the fruit to become mushy. The custard can also separate and become watery when it thaws, which can make your trifle look like a science experiment gone wrong.
How long will a trifle keep in the fridge?
If you've got leftover trifle that you want to store in the fridge, it's best to eat it within 2-3 days. Any longer than that and the sponge cake can start to get soggy, the fruit can start to break down, and the whipped cream can lose its fluffiness.
Can you freeze trifle with whipped cream?
You can, but it's not ideal. The whipped cream will likely lose its texture and become watery when it thaws, which can make your trifle look unappetizing. If you want to freeze trifle with whipped cream, it's best to add the whipped cream after it's thawed.
How do you defrost a trifle?
The best way to defrost trifle is to take it out of the freezer and let it thaw in the fridge overnight. This will give the trifle time to defrost slowly, which can help prevent it from becoming too mushy.
How long will homemade trifle keep?
Homemade trifle will keep in the fridge for 2-3 days, but it's best to eat it as soon as possible. If you're planning to make trifle ahead of time, it's best to store the different components separately and assemble it just before serving.
What foods don't freeze well?
Not all foods are created equal when it comes to freezing. Foods with high water content, like lettuce and cucumbers, tend to become mushy when they're frozen and thawed. Dairy products, like sour cream and cream cheese, can also separate and become grainy when they're frozen.
Can you freeze whipped cream?
You can freeze whipped cream, but it's not ideal. The texture of the whipped cream will likely change when it thaws, which can make it less fluffy and creamy. If you want to freeze whipped cream, it's best to whip it until it's stiff, then freeze it in an airtight container.
Will a trifle get soggy overnight?
If you leave trifle in the fridge overnight, the sponge cake can start to get soggy and the fruit can start to break down. To prevent this, it's best to eat trifle as soon as possible after assembling it.
How do you preserve trifle?
If you've got leftover trifle that you want to preserve, it's best to store the different components separately. Store the sponge cake, custard, and fruit in airtight containers in the fridge, and assemble the trifle just before serving.
Can I freeze dessert squares?
Dessert squares, like brownies and blondies, can be frozen for up to 3 months. Wrap them tightly in plastic wrap and store them in an airtight container in the freezer. To thaw, take them out of the freezer and let them come to room temperature for a few hours.
While you can technically freeze trifle, it's not the best idea if you want to preserve the texture and taste. It's best to enjoy trifle as soon as possible after assembling it, and if you have any leftovers, store the different components separately in the fridge. And remember, not all foods are created equal when it comes to freezing, so make sure to do your research before putting anything in the freezer.
Now that you know whether or not you can freeze trifle, go ahead and indulge in this delicious dessert without any worries. And if you do have leftovers, try getting creative and using them in new and exciting ways. Who knows, you might just come up with a new trifle-inspired masterpiece!
