NZMC must be one of the worst shows I have seen in my life.
From wooden monotone judges to poor production.
And the food is not of a high standard either.

mwood, Apr 21, 5:57pm
Yes like a "Master Chef" really needs to be "taught" how to cook a barbecue ! LOL not just last week but again last night !

elliehen, Apr 21, 6:04pm
mwood, you do love a good cringe factor ;)

mwood, Apr 21, 6:08pm
Yep the ads take up too much of the time on "American Idol" on the other channel so I take a peek LOL

bedazzledjewels, Apr 21, 6:14pm
That hideous looking hamburger 'cake' concoction that they're making this week looks revolting!

elliehen, Apr 22, 2:30am
I like the look of the seafood hamburgers made by the Food Truck man.

The Food Truck man gets my vote as a Masterchef!

bedazzledjewels, Apr 22, 2:39am
He's a sweety. One of our local chefs - love his restaurant.

bedazzledjewels, Apr 24, 12:54am
It's that night again. I'll be watching with ghoulish interest at those hideous hamburger cakes.

elliehen, Apr 24, 1:37am
I wonder if there's any fibreglass or polystyrene in the pantry!

charlieb2, Apr 24, 6:25am
Interesting. I thought the 'editing' of Ana's (is that the right name) interview/comments made her come across as very " B-word" tonight.I'm sure thats not they way she meant them at all. but it made it sound like she has a bit of a grudge towards Charlene

elliehen, Apr 24, 7:20am
I thought that too. It's quite unfair, because she seems to be a generous-spirited person.

I suppose that's just another attempt to ramp up the competitive dog-eat-dog aspect of a Reality TV knock-out competition. It's difficult when there's so much huggin' and a-kissin' goin' on.

bedazzledjewels, Apr 24, 1:44pm
So it was bye bye to the Golden Apronner then.

willyow, Apr 24, 4:29pm
It was a shame to see Dave go - he wasn't great when cooking their compulsoryrecipes - but when left to come up with his own dishes - they were great. He was more creative than many of the others, who are more technical, but not as creative. I go for the creative cooks every time. I think Masterchef should be more about the creative, rather than technical tests like last night

charlieb2, Apr 24, 5:11pm
lol. love the huggin and a kissin! They also showed Simon asking the other half of the 'loved-up' couple how the house was and his answer was less than flattering to she who has left!

Dave certainly seemed to have great highs and low, lows.I jus wish he'd worn a hat in the kitchen, I found his hair most off-putting

duckmoon, Apr 24, 5:42pm
What cakes did they use for their hamburger.

Google wasn't being kind to me today!

sumstyle, Apr 24, 5:44pm
Banana

charlieb2, Apr 24, 6:21pm
I thought they looked to be different flavours.

battgirl, Apr 24, 6:31pm
Go Charlene! Consistently good cook that is, Ana irks me for some reason.poorly edited or not. Can't see any of the guys measuring up to those two.

earthangel4, Apr 24, 6:44pm
I also would like to see Charlene win, love her lovely nature.
I also enjoyed watching the childrens master chef,on Monday night, they were a delight and gave me a good laugh, lol

sumstyle, Apr 24, 8:33pm
True, the colour was much darker on some of the cakes.I heard the judge say "banana".

elliehen, Apr 24, 8:39pm
Charlene probably will win.

For the post-competition spin-off for the advertisers they need someone dynamic and they will have realised after last year's contest that Nadia Lim was too subdued to be their spokesperson - hence the promotion of second-place-getter Jax.

mwood, Apr 24, 9:08pm
You mean Charlene may be placed First - there's nothing to "win" LOL

clonzy1, Apr 24, 10:37pm
sure there is . don't they get a car, groceries, appliances and a cookbook deal!

wizard10, Apr 24, 11:01pm
They made four cakes, two were banana and chocolate, two were vanilla.

elliehen, Apr 24, 11:05pm
"At stake for the winner is the MasterChef New Zealand title, and over $100,000 worth of prizes, including $20,000 in groceries from Countdown, a luxury car, state-of-the-art appliances from Fisher and Paykel, a stunning range of kitchenware courtesy of Stevens and an exclusive cookbook deal with Random House."

mwood must have all these trifles already ;)
