Brenton made salad out of what HE aready had ! HE didn`t swap with anyoneSO totally different .

toadfish, May 31, 9:31am
Apparently he is ex Howick College and was well liked there, was in the same house my daughter is in. mmmm we should get him back to talk to the children.

Just caughtup with this episode "on demand".Looks like Brenton actually came away with the most incredible prize of the competition -that apprenticeship beats producing a mediocre cookbook, which nobody will buy, and doing ads for countdown.I think it's a thoroughly well earned opportunity on his part.

miri_s, Jun 3, 4:15am
The producers would hardly do that, however, when everything in the show is budgeted to the last nail.Failing to produce a semifinal episode would just be a waste of revenue allocated for that purpose.

Re. the challenge in Singapore.Had "the boot been on the other foot" - as in: Tony and Chelsea had swapped ingredients in the Singapore challenge you can be sure Ana would have done exactly what Tony did. Ana said she had lost respect for Tony for not having talked to her (Ana) and Chelsea first before enlightening the judges. Well, really why should he! Would Ana have in the same situation! Oh.I don't think so. It's a competition and one with a lot at stake. Rules are rules and in any form of competition they are not made to be broken. Have you noticed Ana's body language towards Tony since that debarcle! She has a real chip on her shoulder now and it shows. She should accept that what she and Chelsea did was wrong and not hold it against Tony. Bad sportsmanship.

If the judges had let Ana and Chelsea off the hook - then that would essentially be setting a precedent; what's good for one is good for EVERYONE! During any challenge if you haven't gathered all your ingredients from the pantry, food market of wherever (and in the time given) then you'd be able to swap ingredients around and there would be no point in having a time limit to get all your ingredients. Obtaining ones ingredients is all part of the challenge and Ana can really only be angry with herself for stuffing up.

I'm back! It all sounds like it's got a bit messy.
I watched Australian Masterchef during the week - on 6 nights - and they're getting through the early stages. Still interesting with one good masterclass.

ferrit47, Jun 5, 3:41am
I hope that The ladies dont win after what they did.
I hope that Tony wins.

mwood, Jun 5, 4:52am
Ana should get her biscuits tonight

coast_palms, Jun 5, 9:02am
What a rip!

Not interested in the final.not interested in the next series.
Rigged.

And Simon Gault has far too much pulling power on that show.

pickles7, Jun 5, 9:16am
for sure.coast_palms .I am done, as well.

coast_palms, Jun 5, 9:21am
I'm glad you are with me Pickles.I am really feeling quite bad for Tony.he had it.
Quite a large part of why I'm not watching this silly tv show anymore is the editing.it leaves me feeling cold.
Probably similarly to you, when you feel (as a viewer) you have a bit of a decent handle on food, food presentation and techniques.you hear the judges critique and hear their tasting experiences, and then they do a complete 180.

Leaves me confused about what wasn't said.
Sure I can't taste it, but you are left with a sense of mistrust with whatever the other 2 judges say beciase Simon seems to have the fianl say in everything.

elliehen, Jun 5, 9:22am
The blonde versus the brunette.Cleavage, not cleavers in the kitchen.

Show biz all the way!

lodgelocum, Jun 5, 9:55am
Definitely not my choice, what a bummer, really feel for Tony, he's been made the scapegoat all round.Go Chelsea.

duckmoon, Jun 5, 10:03am
Chelsea!

Chelsea!

How ridiculous

pickles7, Jun 5, 10:12am
Did you see any uncooked chicken! I didn't. Whats more they all tasted it.

maggie197, Jun 5, 11:10am
Not only that but Simon praised Chelsea's salad, saying how much he enjoyed it, obviously defending it from the other judges who apparently wasn't impressed with it. Soon as he did that I knew Chelsea was 'saved'.

Has Ana got a chance at all next week.

elliehen, Jun 5, 11:33am
It was reported in an article on the Stuff website that Chelsea came from a 'foodie family'.Maybe there's a bit of networking going on.

gingercrush, Jun 5, 11:40am
I don't get it. There was nothing whatsoever that was simple about Ana's meals. I am tired of the crap that gets spouted about food on that show. Chelsea's roast lamb looked disgusting and her prawns were weird. As for the fish pie. Yum I love Fish Pie but what was special about her fish pie! Nothing.

I wasn't impressed with Ana's food either. The snapper looked gross. The tuna looked gross and the pudding was disappointing. More importantly though she didn't have a clue about her cook food. She just mentioned cliche after cliche after cliche of crap about how her meals would inspire others. Wasn't a single thing inspirational about her dishes.

And Annabelle Langlein is a fake as well. I don't care whether she sells heaps of cookbooks. Nothing simple, easy or affordable about her meals.

Tony's idea had issues and the execution wasn't entirely there but that would be the cookbook I would have purchased.

suzanna, Jun 5, 1:11pm
Well said.

doll53, Jun 5, 1:13pm
What a load of rubbish.

I'm not surprised Chelsea is in the finals. Notice how Ana and Tony had to explain their dishes more than Chelsea.

I don't believe for a second that Tony would have got in the finals if his chicken had been cooked perfectly. Lets not forget that Chelsea dodged an elimination for her runny mousse.

rainrain1, Jun 5, 6:46pm
how can you guys tell all this when you're not there to taste anything. chicken needs to be cooked properly, he ought to have got that simple thing right at the semi-final .ta ta Tony you naughty boy

ruby2shoes, Jun 5, 9:37pm
well I hope Ana wins - she has put up consistently great food that the judges have raved about the whole time. I'm not too sure what Chelsea is doing there either, and as for chicken not quite cooked, that just shouldn't have happened.
I don't buy cookbooks, but I'd sure eat at Ana's restaurant over Chelsea and Tony's.Oh, and I'd venture into Charlene and Brenton's restuarant as well, lol.Yes, I reckon Brenton has got the best deal of the lot.

duckmoon, Jun 5, 9:58pm
They didn't have the shoot where they cut into the chicken and you see raw chicken . I have been left with the question "how underdone"

duckmoon, Jun 5, 10:00pm
Or her lamb dish wrapped in pastry for the airline

nfh1, Jun 6, 12:49am
Just watched this episode - seems obvious to me that they had decided who was going home before the challenge.Just the two 'cheats' left now - what an odd competition!
