Smoked Salmon

I bought a pouch from the supermarket and opened it on Saturday, how long will it be OK in the fridge for! It's the raw type salmon. Also what can I do with it!

mattdylan, I'm assuming that the smoked salmon is the cold smoked type of smoked salmon!
In our freezer we have a pack of Cold Smoked Salmon Slices with these storage instructions.
"Keep chilled at 0-4C in the sealed pack.
Use before expiry date on pack.Once opened keep chilled and use within four days."

What you do with the salmon is really up to your imagination and preferencese.g. use it in/with frittata, quiche, muffins, sandwiches, salads, eggs benedict, scrambled eggs, pasta, on blinis or other finger foods/canapes.

I like mine on crackers with a scrape of cream cheese, some horseradish cream and a squirt of lemon juice

I mix smoked salmon thru fresh cooked fettuccine with the juice and rind of an orange, about a tablespoon each of finely chopped capers and dill and about 1/4 of a cup of sour cream. My idea of meals in a minute!
