Not sure where in Auckland you would find them, but you could try the Asian stores. I buy mine from Moore Wilson in Masterton.

I get ours from Countdown - in the international section - love it on fish instead of "normal" breadcrumbs.They are in a clear plastic bag with yellow, and the writing is all Japanese if that helps.

thank you everyone, I will try again tomorrow, people didn't seem to know what I meant when I was calling around, I will see if Pak'n'Save on Lincoln Rd has them, it's supposed to be the biggest grocery shop in nz,

I bought them at the Asian shop in the Albany shopping Mall
