Recipe calls for a tablespoon of white vinegar. Is there anything I could use instead of as only have brown vinegar!

"Easy Chicken" recipe in Edmonds cookbook. Chicken pieces with things like mustard, soy, ginger, red currant jelly, orange juice, etc. Brown chicken piece and chuck in all above and simmer.

malt vinegar would be ok so would lemon juice. I probably would lean towards the lemon juice myself, as I have them on my tree.
