Anyone have recipe with suet in? Mum always used to make the one with shreddo suet and golden syrup at the bottom but Ive lost the recipe. Does anyone have it? I dont care about the calories lol!

Quick and easy steam pudding easy enough for the kids to make! Options:dried fruit with butter &syrup, 1 Tbs cocoa with dry ingredients. 1 tbs golden syrup, 1 Tbs butter, 1 egg, 2 tsp baking powder, 3 heaped Tbs flour, 2 Tbs sugar. Put butter and syrup in bottom of bowl. Combine other ingredients with a little water, until pikelet consistency. Cook for 20 min.

MICROWAVE steam puddings Has anyone got any good recipes for a steam pudding made in the microwave.

Microwave Steam Pudding Melt 50g butter, add 6 T sugar and mix well, add 1 egg and beat well, add 1 C flour & 1 t baking powder alternately with 1/2 C milk. Grease and line with baking paper a microwave ring container. Place 1 T golden syrup at base of container and add mixture. Micro High for 4 mins. Serve with custard. My version; Delete the golden syrup. While hot turn on to a large plate and on 1/3 I put a couple of T of Jam, another 1/3 stewed apple, and the last 1/3 golden syrup (because family members have different tastes) Then place ring container over pudding while making a custard.

have to tell you i made smiley cherubs gingerbread pud ontop of my kent fire , cooked for 2and 1/2 hours it was perfect! ! ! light fluffy moist and sooooooooo easy. yum

Vegan Steamed pudd Steamed Irish Raisin Pudding. 1 1/2C soy milk, 1 1/2C soaked raisins, 1 1/2C wholemeal flour, 1/2t salt, 3T honey, 1/4t coriander, 1T grated lemon rind, 11/2C fresh breadcrumbs, 1C grated peeled apple. Combine ingredients & turn into a greased and floured steam pudding bowl or fruit juice can. Steam for 2 hours. Slice & serve with nut cream or apple sauce. Variation: Try freshly cooked hot millet, or leftover rice instead of breadcrumbs.
