Is this possible to do a cheesecake base with say butter sugar and flour? would have to bake it and let it cool.

Might give it a go but would like to hear others thoughts.

Yes, I make my baked quark cake with a butter flour sugar mixture, I think I posted it a while back, will go hunting.

here you go, i just put it all in myfood processor
ALTERNATIVE BASE
170GM FLOUR
100GM BUTTER OR MARG
100GM SUGAR
1 EGG
½ TEASPOON YEAST

then press it down into the pan, if you are making a large cheesecake you will need to adjust quantities, this is enough for about a 6 inch by 6 inch pan, lining the bottom only

awesome thanks guys. would anyone know if i could mix caramel condensed milk and regular condensed milk and expect it to set in the fridge?

I think you would have to cook it but don't quote me, maybe search caramel slice on the recipe thread?

No.
And now without the biscuit base and without cheese, it's no longer a cheesecake.

Why not simply make short pastry?
