Venison Roast

First time cooking this and no idea on how to do it so it doesnt come out tough.Any suggestions on little extras to add too please gratefully accepted.

Wrap it in fatty bacon,It can be very dry

Long and low....had venison in a restaurant recently...the piece was cooked at 55 c for 3 hours....perfect.Venison has to still be quite pink in the middle...any less and it will be dry and tough.

Put into a roasting dish, cover with lid or tinfoil...and keep the temp low. Not knowing how big it is I don't know how long..but if a standard sort of size I would suggest 5-6 hours around 65-75c.Enjoy

I hunt deer and even get one occasionally but have never mastered the roast I steak everything I can and mince or casserolethe rest which I find far more satisfactory.

Yea, steak everything here too.Mince is nice into patties.Or cat tucker
