I normal do my boil up in a pot has anyone done it in a slow cooker/crock pot? How did it turn out?

I do sometimes though my slow cooker isn't that big so prefer pot as I have a special huge one for Boil Up's.
Tastes the same and is easier as no control issues though as I said smaller good for a couple I suppose.

I sometimes do the meat in the slow cooker then transfer to big pot and add some more water and the veges and seasonings. That way it is only 20 more minutes to dinner which you need to supervise.
