That ASB should have an app which shows you the year to date spend at each shop, e.g. shell $20 today, $1234 year to date; McDs spend today $10, year to date $200 etc. I think it will really make people stop and think sh*t I have spent HOW much on takeaways etc, and hopefully change their spending habits a bit.
I know exactly what I spend where, without consulting a bank statement. If you really need to write it down, Excel does the trick.
