Pam does that mean I should be able to replace sugar in muffins and biscuits wyth the low GI sugar? (LOGICANE),I bought some the other day but can't do any baking yet as power is still fragile.

pam.delilah, Jun 15, 10:11am
yes because the low GI sugar has the same sweet taste and functionality as ordinary sugar, but with the added benefit of a Low GI rating of just 50.

Go to the chelsea website to read more about it and also there are recipes for using it www..chelsea.co.nz

LOL. "It works by spraying an all natural molasses extract onto raw sugar,"
So covering it with another substance suddenly makes it healthier? I think not.

http://www.odt.co.nz/on-campus/university-otago/81407/low-gi-sugar-comes-caning.Prof Mann said there was no evidence to show LoGiCane sugar would provide any health benefits to New Zealanders, particularly those who had diabetes or were obese.

I used normal sugar in their muffin recipe and they came out perfect. Yummy!
