Beat Egg, Add Flour, Milk, Cheese and Seasonings. Add Spuddy and BP just before frying.
Fry in hot, shallow oil 5 mins on each side. Serve hot, garnished with parsley

Nah!!Honest to goodness potato fritters are potatoes sliced fairly thin, coated in batter, and deep fried until puffed up and crispy golden.Delicious.Just as well I don't have a deep fryer or even my old-fashioned 'chip pan' or I would eat far too many of them.
What OP describes are hash browns!!

fritters,yum 2 rashers sliced finely potato's peeled and grated parsley finely chopped s&p and a clove of crushed garlic 1 egg beaten and 1 Tlbspn of flour in a bowl add sliced bacon,parsley,cushed garlic ,egg and potatos,flour and s&p mix and put into spread out spoonful in a pan of hot oil cook for a few minutes each side until crispy....yum
