I have got 3 big pieces and i wandered if you could roast it and have it with gravy and veg... rather than frying it? If so how would you go about it?

I haven't roasted it but I have casseroled it in a pasta tomato based sauce. It was delicious!

Yes I regularly roast rump. I seal/brown all sides in a hot cast iron frying pan containing a little oil to stop sticking. Then into the preheated oven in a dry roasting dish, 180degrees for an hour for about a 700g size roast. Has a pink tinge in the middle when served up. Roast par boiled, oil brushed potatoes with it and make gravy while meat is resting before carving. May need to add more shortening for gravy. Also may need to experiment a bit with times to get the doneness you want. Can rub with garlic etc.
