Chocolate Slice with Coconut and Sultanas Ingredients

For the Slice:

▪️ 150g butter
▪️ 2 tablespoons golden syrup
▪️ 1 cup white sugar
▪️ 1 cup coconut
▪️ 1 cup sultanas
▪️ 1 tablespoon cocoa
▪️ 2 cups flour
▪️ ½-1 cup chopped walnuts

For the Chocolate Frosting:

▪️ 2 cups icing sugar
▪️ 3 heaped tablespoons cocoa
▪️ 25g butter, melted
▪️ Boiling water

How to make Chocolate Slice with Coconut and Sultanas

For the Slice:

Step 1: Preheat oven to 150°C.

Step 2: In a large saucepan or microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter and add the golden syrup.

Step 3: Mix in the sugar, coconut, sultanas, cocoa, flour, and walnuts.

Step 4: Press the mixture into a well-greased or paper-lined slice or sponge-roll tray.

Step 5: Bake for 10 minutes. Cool before icing.

For the Chocolate Frosting:

Step 1: Mix all ingredients, adding enough boiling water to make a smooth paste.

Step 2: Spread over the cooled slice and cut into squares.
