Any simple cookie recipes

Only have about a cup or so of flour left, but plenty of sugar and butter. Suppose I could always make shortbread, but last time I made it according to recipe they turned out a bit hard prob cos I added too much sugar lol

You could try Nigella Lawson's butter cookies. They are delicious and do not require icing even though this link suggests you can:

That recipe requires no flour at all.:-))

Thanks, no peanut butter here so ended up making some sort of dough with butter, sugar, half a cup of chocolate drops and egg and flour. Not sure how it'll turn out!
