You lucky lady!
Swiss friends farming in the Waikato eat a litre of yoghurt every morning for breakfast & use yoghurt in cooking and baking. Wife uses: *1/4 satchet of Easiyo w/ * litre of cooled scalded fresh milk & sets in Easiyo maker all day.
Refrigerates overnight & fresh yoghurt for breaky every morning.
And no it's not sweet. But if the children want she dissolves sugar w/ the scalding milk.Sometimes a vanilla bean into the heating milk as well.
Occasionally she strains the yoghurt through muslin cloth or a teatowel in a sieve to make thick Greek yoghurt.Or makes a soft cheese. The Swiss love their cheese.
Another lady at Maramarua started making cottage cheese to use up milk. She now sells her cheese from her little cottage business & teaches cheesemaking classes.
