Beginners ham on bone help please

Okay, this may sound a silly question but I want to do a ham for a party (served cold in rolls) BUT I don't know anything about hams. Are the hams that are vacuum packed in supermarkets already cooked? I know you can 'dress' a ham with honey / pineapple but is that done on a pre cooked one? Or do you have to cook it ... if so HOW !?

Most of the vacumn packed hams have instructions on the wrapper for baking. Can be consumed without doing so but basting etc in the oven makes the ham much tastier.I remove the skin and reduce the fat cover if necessary, leaving 1/2 to 1 cm of fat overall. Score the ham over the topside with a sharp knife and rub well all over with a mix of runny honey, wholegrainmustard and orange juiceapprox 2 tblsp of each.I stud each cross in the scoring with a clove. Put on a baking rack inside a deep sided tray and bake 35 minutes per 500g at around 140c basting often.

Yes they are cooked and if you are only using them for sandwiches cut straight into it.
