i am just wanting to cut off a slice for my lunch today, how do I then store the ham to keep it fresh?

Wrap it in a damp tea towel and keep it in the fridge.

Soak it in Vinegar and Lemonade..(The Ham Bag or Pillowcase) and keep in Fridge.
