Hi sandy19, if one can invest in a kitchen scales especially (just for starters) like at the warehouse have them from about $10 to $30 battery electronic ones which would be great when it comes to some recipes that give weights only more so if they do note weights rather than measures or number. An egg for example could be anything from a size 5 to a large 8.

Now these latest scales have a "Zero" button that when one weighs an item and followed by another then one can zero then add that next item, very handy to have.

Just giving thoughts in this area.

Cheers.

It would be about 8 teaspoons of cornflour (I weighed cornflour last night!), and probably about 4 egg yolks. What are you making? Perhaps it's a sensitive recipe and there's a reason the writer has given the weight of the yolks.

Edited to say: I do second what valentino says, I couldn't be without my digital kitchen scales!
