Is it possible to use a white Corningware coffee perc on a gas hob? I am not sure if it will go black underneath? I have only ever used it on an electric element.

It might depend on the gas hob, everything goes black on mine, but I think it's because the jets aren't set correctly.Drives me mad.Give me a ceramic hob any day (except in a power cut!)

OK, thanks. Maybe if I use a Trivet, it will lift it enough.
