I use this one for mine 112 grms butter 2 tbspns golden syrup 1 tin sweetened condensed milk Make caramel by warming the remaining ingredients gently together then spread over the shortcake mixture.

Boil tin of condensed milk for at least an hour yummo we do three cans at a time!!!!

is it possible just to use the caramel that you can get in a tin or is that not effective?
