Hi Would love to have a recipe that didn't have heaps of sugar, golden syrup, or butter - thinking of the cholesterol
Oaty Apricot Slice

1 cup self-raising flour
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup honey
6 tablespoons reduced-fat spread
1 egg white
handful raisins or sultanas
handful dried apricots, chopped
Preheat oven to 180 degrees
- In the microwave melt the spread and honey.
- In a large mixing bowl combine rolled oats, flour, sugar and dried fruit.
- Add the spread and egg white to dry ingredients. Combine well.
- Press mixture into a sprayed Pyrex dish (not too large) and spread the mixture evenly.
- Bake 20-25 minutes on 180°C until golden brown. Only when the mixture is cold should the slice be cut, otherwise it will break.
