Am I able to freeze small portions of sour cream ?

I do in the ice cube tray. It separates on thawing but a good stir helps and it is OK for cooking. Doesn't look good enough for toppings.

I freeze but only use in cooking. Some brands go quite yellow after freezing so no good for toppings.

I froze some the other week and thawed it out last week - it did separate but it was fine to use after stirring.
