How's that going to help? They have a high water content, whatever you do to them first, they will still go to mush when thawed.

well they will just be used in stir frys etc have frozen them before just couldnt remember what I had done

I grate them straight from the garden and freeze in small amounts - excellent in quiche or soups or mince type dishes.

Jenny11, I always slice them, lay in single layer on backing trays and once frozen put in bags. Never had an issue, they are fine in stir frys.

I grate mine too, and it doesn't go mushy (and you don't need to blanch it). Good for fritters later in the year.

I too want to freeze courgettes and came across this method.
Poke a couple of holes in the zucchini with a fork. Microwave for 2 minutes. This will release some of the juices and prevent your zucchini from turning soggy while it's frozen. Rinse the zucchini and place in a freezer bag. Label the freezer bag with the date. Store in the freezer until you are ready to use it.
