Low Carb Peeps.. question?

wild-at-heart, Aug 20, 1:44am
This is what I've had today - what do you think?

Breakfast:
1 egg on 1 piece of vogels seasame and chica toast w/ marg and a bit of bbq sauce.

Lunch:
Shredded chicken, carrot sticks, a few cubes of cheese and some healthy option coleslaw.

I new to this low carb business but I have 38kgs to loose before I can have some surgery I may need and low carb was recommended to me by the specialist.

I'm fairly new too but NO breads (except maybe the low carb bread made from recipe from other site) and I wouldn't eat the carrots, also what was in the coleslaw?

I had two boiled eggs for breakfast as I was in a rush, fried would have been better with some bacon (in butter of course).

Why not carrots? And coleslaw was Cabbage, red onion, snow pee shoots, tiny bit of carrot and vinaigrette.

Bacon and eggs for breakfast everyday? Seems so high fat!

Breakfast:
1 egg (great - would eat two or three myself)
on 1 piece of vogels seasame and chica toast (no bread - just empty carbs - eat some bacon instead)
w/ marg (use butter or coconut oil)
and a bit of bbq sauce. (check for carbs on the label - probably lots of sugar in that! )

Lunch:
Shredded chicken, (good)
carrot sticks, (high in carbs, use lettuce or other greens instead)
a few cubes of cheese (good)
and some healthy option coleslaw. (not sure what the healthy option is - most likely low fat - which means high in carbs ... check the label or make your own).

Google low carb cooking in style and you will find a NZ website with all the recipes and answers you need - including what fast food to select if caught out.

Because carrots are high in net carbohydrates.

If you are serious about adopting a low carb eating plan you will need to learn a little about it, and the NZ low carb site that has already been suggested is a good place to start. It has a section especially for beginners and if you read that you will be off to a good start.
