What can I use instead of baking powder

am on low nickel diet and baking powder is a nono, what can I use instead of that doesnt change the taste? I love baking :-)thanks in advance

I use yeast and sourdough - as I hate the taste of baking powder myself.

Baking soda appears to be the cause of the nickel in baking powder.
