What brand to use? , wanting it for a marinade. Cheaper the better?

I dont think "brand" really matters too much - you want something that tastes nice. If you are a red wine drinker, use something you like the taste of. I use red wine in my gravies and I usually use a good pinot noir in my beef burguignon. What is it that you are marinating?

If you would not drink the wine on its own-suggest that you do not use that wine in your cooking
