kerrylee1, have another look at the recipe on Trademecooks and add this to that recipe to complete it:-
"the cream. Pour the mixture on to the biscuit base. Top with grated chocolate. " - this is from a recipe that I found which is almost identical to "Toady's Mars Bar Cheesecake" at:-
Mars Bar Cheesecake 250g plain chocolate biscuits crushed (or choc thins), 125g butter melted, 3 teaspoons gelatine ¼ cup water, 375g cream cheese, ½ Cup Castor sugar, 1 tsp vanilla essence 300mls thicken cream. 3 x mars bars or moro bars chopped up, or a bag of moro chocettes cut in half
Combine crushed biscuits and butter in bowl; mix well. Press evenly over base and sides of a 22cm springform tin. Refrigerate till firm. Sprinkle gelatine over water in cup, stand in small pan of simmering water, stir until dissolved: cool slightly. Beat cheese, sugar and essence in small bowl with electric beater till smooth. Beat cream in separate bowl until soft peaks form. Stir gelatine mixture into the cheese mixture with the cream and Mars bars. Pour into crust refrigerate till set.
