You can make a basic rice pudding and use a can of evaporated milk, this makes it very similar to the "Ambrosia" canned rice from the UK

1/3 cup of rice, 2 eggs, 2 cups milk, 1/2 cup sugar 1 tsp vanilla. steam milk & rice... till milk absorbed approx 3/4 hour. Seperate eggs, 1/2 the sugar to the yolks, and add vanilla. Whip the egg whites add the other 1/2 of sugar. add the beaten yolks, sugar and vanilla to the riceand cook a little and take off heat and fold in the beaten egg whites. serve either hot or cold. boy do we love this! !

i just boil my rice in milk till absorbed then fold in whipped cream... so yum. Then I add a small can of well drained crushed pineapple.

cook rice and then stir in a tin of condensed milk, yummy.
