Ohhh it's delicious.. my Malaysian friend makes it.. she simmers black glutinous rice with a cinnamon stick in water till the rice is very tender and thick.. the gluten thickens it as it cooks. Stir often so it doesn't stick. She then adds palm sugar to taste and cooks till it's blended in. It's then served with coconut cream - in Malaysia, she said they make a pulp of the flesh of a coconut and serve the rice with that.
