janic1, here's the recipe that I have used many times over the years.
LOLLY CAKE 115g butter ½ x 397g can sweetened condensed milk 1 x 250g packet malt biscuits, crushed 1 x 180g packet Fruit Puffs or Eskimo lollies or licorice allsorts, chopped
Warm the butter and sweetened condensed milk together until melted. Remove from the heat and add the crushed malt biscuits and chopped Fruit Puffs. Mix well, then form into a log and roll in coconut OR press into a 19cm square tin. Refrigerate. Note: 1 packet fruit puffs = 56 puffs. :-))

I just purchased a shopping bag from countdown nd it has the recipe on it, also bought all the ingredients and they had fruit puffs.

New World has Eskimo Lollies. Also try the bulk bins They usually have something you could use.
