would love to know how successful this has been - did you blanch etc

no bleaching is needed. wash, drain very well or spread on to towels to dry, shove into bags, done.

Thank you for your replies. I use them in salads, quiches, stews, smoothies etc but want to freeze excess. I have early stage macular degeneration & the optometrist suggested that both kale & spinach may help so I am using them at every opportunity.

It freezes OK without blanching. I just wash, drain and put in the salad spinner to get all the water out of it, bag and freeze. We eats lots of spinach and silverbeet, it goes into most things, great in stir fries, toasties with mushrooms, wraps, quiche and pizza. I like it on toast with scrambled egg or mushrooms for brekky too. Made shepherds pie for tea tonight and I topped the meat with chopped spinach before topping with mashed kumara.
