you can cheat & buy teriyiki sauce in asian section of supermarket I saute chicken pieces sprinkle over the saucethen i add a little honey(liquid or creamed doesn't matter) this makes it a bit stickier and a bit sweeter, or the long way is to saute a little ginger(1-2Tbsp) & garlic(1-2tsp) with your meat then add honey(1-2Tbsp) & soy sauce (2Tbsp) then allow it to reduce to coat the meat

I have an urge to correct the spelling on "teriyaki". ;D
My mum uses Kikkoman's Teriyaki sauce and some honey in it. I think she lets it marinate for about half a day before she fries it in the fry pan. Sprinkle some seasame seeds on top and it looks delish!
