Hi have granddaughter with me and she wants to make biscuits. Looked thru some books with no results. Easy please.

Vanilla Biscuits
• 180g butter • 1 cup caster sugar • 1 egg • ½ tsp vanilla extract • 1 3/4 cup self-raising flour • Chocolate bits for decorating
1. Preheat oven to 180°C 2. Put butter and sugar in a bowl and beat with an electric mixer until light and creamy 3. Add egg and vanilla and beat well 4. Stir in sifted flour and mix into a dough 5. Roll out dough with a floured rolling pin to 2cm thick Use floured cookie cutters to cut dough into shapes 6. Put shapes on a lined baking tray 7. Decorate with choc bits and other sweets 8. Bake for 10-12 mins or until golden 9. Cool on a wire rack Makes about 18 COOK'S TIP: Roll leftover dough into balls, splat onto the tray and stick a freckle in the centre.
