am making Gardie's Xmas Cake and have found half a bottle of the above in the pantry. Think its been there since our daughter was home from overseas about 18 months ago . question is : can I use it for the above recipe. Thanx Mrs L

I have tried using flavoured vodka in baking and found that the flavour didn't survive. If you don't want to drink the feijoa vodka you would do better to use it in uncooked dishes such as gravlax, ice cream, trifle, custard or to soak dried fruit.

Or L&P or ginger ale - the new L&P bitters would probably work well too

used it to soak my cake fruit . tasted not too bad when I licked the mixing spoon . but just have to wait for xmas to taste the finished article LOL!
